End of Module Self Evaluation.

1. What practical skills have you developed through this module and how effectively do you think you have applied them?
I feel I have gained greater time management from the module as a whole.I have tried and tested illustrator as often as I can and feel I have a much broader understanding of the program and therefore a better finish to my compositions.
2. What approaches to/methods of a problem solving have you developed and how have they informed your design development process?
I now have a greater understanding of how things are constructed,i have developed this through group crits this in turn has made more critical of my own ideas and generally improved my thought processes.I have also put focused and worked on my understanding and construction of typography.
3. What strengths can you identify in your work and how have/will you capitalise on theses?
I feel my main strength is identifying the message clearly in my work and communicating it effectively through type and image.I will continue to improve this the more briefs i am set and by working on my presentation of these ideas.
4. What weaknesses can you identify in your work and how will you address these more fully?
I feel my main weakness is that i over think the idea sometimes and this can effect the focus of my idea and distort the message.
To address this i will more frequently remind myself of the message and think more along the lines of what is appropriate rather than my personal taste as regards the composition.
5. Identify five things that you will do differently next time and what do you expect to gain from doing these?
1.I will do more initial research of my subject i feel this will strengthen my final outcomes and make them more informative.
2. I will generate a greater amount of initial ideas i feel this will give me more variation and greater experimentation in my development.
3.I will spend more time on the construction of my resolution so that it works better as a 3D piece of design.
4. Spend more time on my sketch pads this will show my progression more clearly.
5. Present my final outcomes to greater standard.
